Tata group was found by Jamset Ji Tata in the year 1868 and now has a market capitalization of almost 145 Billion Dollars. However one of the key company Tata consultancy services of Tata sons is also set to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. Group Chief Technical officer of Tata sons Dr Katragadda further explained that the group has had to ‘re-imagine and reinvent’ as its activities — in the digital, automobile, consumer products, manufacturing, technology, defence, power infrastructure, communications and other spheres — have transformed in keeping with the changing times. Dr. Katragadda took the opportunity to highlight the fact that the group was conducting pioneering work in ensuring the safety of its employees, feeding the increasing population, maintaining the health of the planet and discovering the material of the future.
In one of its charity, The Tata Group donated ₹ 2.20 billion ($50 million) to the Harvard Business School (HBS) to build an academic and a residential building on the institute’s campus in Boston, Massachusetts. The new building is named after the Tata as the Tata Hall and is used for the institute’s executive education programmes. This amount is the largest given from an international donor to Harvard Business School.So let’s celebrate this golden moment of Tata fraternity who gave a way to the Industrial Revolution to take place in our country.
